URBAN IMPACT recruits, trains, and assists TENTMAKER MISSIONARIES (secular- employed missionaries) and INTERN MISSIONARIES as they come to minister to New York City's unreached people groups (Russian, Jewish, Muslim, or other unreached people group). URBAN IMPACT TENTMAKER MISSIONARIES are matched with an unreached people group in New York City. TENTMAKERS are assisted in finding housing and specific secular jobs which will give them inroads into their assigned people group. A trained INTERN MISSIONARY will be assigned to assist him/her in the ministry. Mission teams will be available throughout the year to help with the various ministry efforts. The URBAN IMPACT STAFF will assist the TENTMAKER MISSIONARY by providing: --> specialized training and strategy development --> fellowship opportunities with other URBAN IMPACT Missionaries --> an experienced Mentor --> help in enlisting sponsoring church funds --> a trained Intern Missionaries URBAN IMPACT INTERN MISSIONARIES are matched with trained TENTMAKER MISSIONARY ministering to a specific unreached people group in New York City. INTERN MISSIONARIES are assisted in finding housing and raising their own support through the donations of friends and churches. INTERN MISSIONARIES are usually college or seminary students who serve in New York for 10 weeks or more. It is the perfect opportunity to receive hands-on urban experience with various unreached people groups. Many interns will later go on to the foreign mission field.
